Cookie Exchange
A cookie exchange is a great way to get lots of holiday goodies without a lot of baking. It’s also a great way to have a ladies night in or even a mom’s group activity with kids. So invite your friends and family over for a sweet and delicous cookie exchange and please don’t forget some samples and the recipe you used.
If you’re like me each year you see something new you want to bake for the holidays and you have the goodies that you make that everyone wants and expects because you make the best but each year you have less and less time. Here’s your solution that’s so much fun! Invite 6 of your friends and family for your goodie social trying your best to make sure that there are no duplicate cookies and small goodies. Each person will make one type of cookie, brownies, fudge, etc and they will make enough to share with 6 people and package them in ziplock bags or air tight containers that don’t need to be returned. Write out the recipe you used on an index card and attach to each container. Also save a few of your goodies so that everyone can taste test everything before going home. If you have a secret recipe for something you don’t want to share then pick one you don’t mind sharing for the cookie exchange.
What you’ll walk away with is 6 different kinds of Christmas goodies that you can share with others at your family dinner or your annual Christmas party, you’ll also have 5 new recipes and don’t forget the little break you gave yourself by letting someone else do the baking and the free time you gave yourself to meet with friends during a busy time of year! You’ll feel refreshed and ready to sing carols or wrap those gifts you haven’t gotten to yet.
Keeping it Unique,
Kristal
